MANDELL PLACE CIVIC ASSOCIATION
This is a blog for Mandell Place residents. The purpose is to provide better communication in the neighborhood.
For the latest newsletter, deed restrictions and more go to our website at: www.mandellplace.org
Timely announcements will be made on the blog that would normally be in our newsletter. This will be more timely than the intermittent newsletter the civic association publishes.
This is “our” neighborhood blog. Feel free to make suggestions for improvement or tell your neighbors about problems that may affect our area.
Its our very own “town crier” in print.

GOOD MORNING MANDELL PLACE
This Saturday, June 18, at 8:30 to 10:30 A.M. come to the social at the Clayton's, 1615 Hawthorne. Join your neighbors for coffee, cold drinks, gossip, snacks, news, etc. Please come!
There is a serious deed restriction violation at 1510 Marshall. A garage has been built that is even with the front of the house. Our deed restrictions say that garages must be set back 75-feet. Problem is that the backyard has a pool, and there is no room for a garage.
Lesson homeowner will learn: Don't build without a building permit. Had a permit been applied for, the owner would have been told that her plan was a no, no. Better to learn of the 75' setback that way that to risk problems with the Civic Association. Better yet, would be to read the deed restrictions before beginning any kind of addition or remodeling.
Deet restrictions are available from the Civic Association, also on the website: www.mandellplace.org

Attention parents--our teenage daughter is now available for Mandell Place babysitting at nights and on weekends. She has completed the Red Cross babysitting certification course. Call Nan at 713-729-1639 to check on her availability.
What is the current status of the deed restriction violation?
At the association meeting last week it was apparent that members of the association are VERY concerned about the impact on our neighborhood of this violation.
This violation is one that definitely needs to be addressed by our association.
Come to the National Night Out in Mandell Place, Tuesday, August 2, at 1504 Harold, beginning at 7:00 PM, and ending when folks go home. There will be refreshments. In answer to the above "annonamous message, I am sure someone will mention the latest status of our deed restriction problem.
